We designed Nokē to eliminate the inconvenience of traditional keys and combinations by turning your phone into your key. Once a user has been granted access by an administrator, he or she simply downloads the iOS or Android app to begin accessing Nokē.
Strong / Weather-Resistant
Nokē locks are built with boron hardened steel shackles and strong, durable bodies to protect the internals. With IP66 ratings, Nokē hardware is designed to work flawlessly in harsh outdoor environments.
Easily share a manual unlock code comprised of short and long clicks via email or text to users without a Bluetooth enabled smartphone, or for one-time guest access.
Nokē uses Bluetooth 4.0, which has 128-bit AES encryption securing all communication to and from your smartphone.
We’ve added another layer of 128-bit encryption on top of that, and incorporated a custom protocol for communicating with the lock. This protocol includes unique session ID’s, session keys, and digital keys unique for every lock; all of which are required for a valid unlock command to be accepted.
Your data is stored using Google’s Cloud Platform, “built with security as a core design,” your data is encrypted automatically. The Cloud Platform service uses multiple encryption mechanisms.
“Cloud Platform and Google infrastructure is certified for a growing number of compliance standards and controls, and undergoes several independent third party audits to test for data safety, privacy, and security.”
Our hardware is equipped with long-lasting batteries that are easy to replace when they get low. The Nokē app will give you plenty of notice to replace the batteries, but if you ignore the warning, Nokē locks can be “jump-started” with external batteries, allowing authorized users to access the battery compartment to replace the dead battery.
